Account, Rights, and Downloads
Public catalog browsing works without a key. An optional personal key can be configured in Settings → CAPIT Media ; it is created in the CAPIT member space and remains on the WordPress server.
The plugin does not convert a WordPress account into a CAPIT account. Purchases, subscriptions, and downloads of originals are handled on CAPIT, with the visitor’s rights. An API key does not grant access to paid originals. Private AI-generated creations are excluded from the catalog.
Unsplash images retain their author and source link. Their free download redirects to Unsplash.
Transmitted Data and Maintenance
The WordPress server transmits to medias.capit.net the search queries, filters, pagination, and, if configured, the API key. It does not transmit the WordPress account or email address. Images loaded by the browser reveal the visitor’s IP address to CAPIT. Results are cached for 60 seconds.
If CAPIT is temporarily unavailable, a message and a link to the library are displayed. To remove the recorded key: Settings → CAPIT Media → Clear the recorded key. Deactivation does not delete any CAPIT media or purchases.
